When we delete an email, a calendar item, a contact or a task, it’s directly moved to the ‘Deleted Items’ folder in mailbox. So try to find your message or other items that was deleted, in the Hotmail deleted item folder. If the message or item is there, then next step is restore / recover :
In the folder list of your email, click ‘Deleted Items’.
1. When you detect the email(s) / message(s), try one of the following :
a. For restore the message into the ‘inbox’, right-click it, and then click Move -> Inbox.
b. For restore the message into the different folder, right-click it, and then click Move -> More. Select the folder location and click ‘Move’.
2. To recover other type of Hotmail items from the ‘Deleted Items’ folder, try the following :
a. For recover a contact, right-click it and then click ‘Move to Contacts’.
b. For recover a calendar item, right-click it and then click ‘Move to Calendar’.
c. For recover a task, right-click it and then click ‘Move to Tasks’.

As soon as Hotmail find that any account might have been hacked, they start saving the Hotmail deleted item or email in a safe place.
In Hotmail or Outlook.com, click the ‘Deleted Items’ folder.
Click on Recover deleted messages from the bottom of the window.
(Hotmail or Outlook will recover as many email as possible and get them in Deleted folder. But if any email not recovered, are permanently lost.)
